Why is my balcony leaking?
Porous, cracked or loose tiles are the most common causes of a leaking balcony. Building movement cracks the joints between tiles and can damage the waterproof membrane underneath, letting water through the surface. And it isn't only older homes. Sub-standard waterproofing in newer buildings is just as common a cause.

How do I know if my balcony needs repairs?
Watch for white staining on or under tiles, drummy (hollow-sounding) or loose tiles, cracked grout, water pooling after rain, damp patches on the ceiling below, or peeling paint inside near balcony doors.
Do you need to remove the balcony tiles?
Usually not. Most balcony leaks are fixed by regrouting, resealing and surface sealing over the existing tiles. If the membrane has fully failed we'll quote re-waterproofing and re-tiling as a separate, clearly explained option.
How long does a balcony repair take?
Most sealing jobs are completed in a day and ready for normal use 24 hours later. Re-tiling and membrane work takes longer; the quote sets out the timeframe.
